Core galaxies are those early-type galaxies with flat central surface brightness.
It is still unclear how they could form given that the central mass density distributions of galaxies are predicted to have cusp profiles . The core galaxy NGC 1399 is modeled through a particle-based method here. The dark matter profile, and the existence of single or binary supermassive black holes are investigated. The possible formation scenario of core galaxies will also be addressed.
