Matrix Product State Methods for Topologically Ordered States Ian McCulloch ^{1*}^{1}School of Mathematics and Physics, University of Queensland, Queensland, Australia* Presenter:Ian McCulloch, email:ianmcc@physics.uq.edu.au I will give an overview of the use of matrix product state methods for detecting and characterizing intrinsic and symmetry-protected topologically ordered states in models of frustrated magnetism. Techniques based on the symmetry properties of the entanglement spectrum for infinite translationally-invariant systems are particularly powerful for characterizing topological states. Examples will be presented for the spin-1/2 Heisenberg model on the Kagome and triangular lattices.
