Hybrid Electrode Materials for Electrochemical Supercapacitors

Biomimicry of the Cuscutae design resulted in a supercapacitor with massive pseudocapacitive functionality implantation. The use of an ionic liquid electrolyte enables the symmetric device to deliver an unprecedented footprint-normalized capacitance exceeding 2.5 F cm-2, a geometric energy density of 2.33 mW h cm-2 and a geometric power density of 25.72 mW cm-2.
